FEMALE PSYCHOPATHS - What comes first?

Much recent research has focused on the relationship between the functioning of regions of the brain and the characteristics of psychopathy. In particular, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) suggests differences in the subgenual cortex and paralimbic system between psychopaths and non-psychopaths. While preparing my book, Born to Destroy, I reached out to Dr. Eric Kandel, Nobel Prize Winner and Professor in the Department of Neuroscience of Columbia University. When asked the "chicken-or-the-egg" question of whether the differences were inborn, genetically determined, or the result of changes occurring from disuse, his simple answer was "No one knows!"

  1. I have personal reasons for believing that it is inherited. It was passed down inside my family like diabetes. Not everyone gets it, but some do.It is probably a brain deformity, but, there is probably a spiritual element to it, as well.
